Red Tail Alliance --protecting our future by preserving our past

protecting our future by preserving our past. . . .   . . . . . . .

In Loving Memory
Our beloved Chief Ray Two Thunders Gauthier crossed over to the Blue Road of Spirit on Friday, January 22, 2010, after a short battle with cancer.
Ray spent his entire adult life fighting for Traditional Native American rights, especially religious rights for Native prisoners.

In the 1970's while living in California, he met the world-renown Intertribal Medicine Man, John Rolling Thunder Pope of Carlin, Nevada. Ray became an apprentice of R.T.
When Ray returned to his birth home, Massachusetts, he became a founding member of T.R.I.B.E., which successfully prevented IT Corp from building a toxic waste dump in Brimfield and Warren, Massachusetts.
In 1995, Ray organized Red Tail Allia
nce as a Traditional Native American Religious organization. RTA ministers to the spiritual needs of Native American prisoners all across the United States.
Though we will sorely miss our Chief, we know he lives on the Other Side and will be keeping his eye on Red Tail Alliance.
     AHO!

August 31, 1948 - January 22, 2010

Ray was born in Ludlow, Massachusetts, the son of Walter Gauthier and Pauline (Hartland) Gauthier.

Of Oneida and Mohawk ancestry, Ray was always a true Warrior of the People, fighting for Native American rights and willing to lay down his life for his family, his friends, his People.

Ray dedicated his life to helping others, remaining always Native Proud, and in the end, sacrificing his life to protect one of his own.

He walked his talk down a Red Road that was at times lonely as well as dangerous.

May the Karma of all those who contributed to his death come swiftly! Hoka Hey!
